2005 Pontiac GTO Procharged LS7 based 427 on 20lbs of boost. Race weight is 3840. IRS stock style suspension (Hendrix-Engineering 8.8 conversion). Pass was made on 2-27-10 at Darlington Dragway.

@Protoballa007 You're not raining on any parade. My parade is long over. Magnum gto does have the new irs record. As a matter of fact, that is who the other gto is in this vid. :-)

i got a 04 gto and was wandering if the stock irs set up can handle 450 to 500 hp and tq. if it does not , what parts do i need to get. its a m6. i was thinking heavy duty clutch and one peice aluminum drive shaft. please respond back. thank you.

@godfrey259 The stock rear parts are known to be easy to break with the six speed. Auto cars are much less stressful on the drivetrain. As for the driveshaft, and other parts give Hendrix-Engineering a call. They have high HP two piece driveshafts and other options for the GTO. That is who I got all of my drivetrain parts from. Their number is 980-521-0722. Thomas will hook you up.

dam that car is heavy....have yall done anything to lightin it up? would make it go way faster

@pewpscoop I have taken everything I can out of the car without compromising the factory comforts. They are just heavy as hell! You can make them light if you turn them into race cars but I don't want to do that.

@WelcomeToMaspeth Yes. It has a 4l80e trans conversion. It was originally an auto car.
