You know this is a true story.

Probably the films that turned me into a Civil War buff.

@colindominy When is it coming to DVD!

Wow does'nt war look fun.Unfortunately its not like this. You dont see the blood, the gore and the suffering. A generation of young men grew up thinking that it was a great adventure and then went to places like Vietnam and found out the real truth.

They's thick as fleas on a hound dog.

lincoln was a traitor, a tyrant. had no right to start that war.

I fondly remember this film from my boyhood growing-up days. Yet another of Walt Disney's fabulous pieces of work. I happen to think that Mr Disney was really achieving as-then unsurpassed heights of cutting-edge technology-innovation & entertainment multi-media creativity at this time in the early 60s. Who knows what further wonderful break-through delights he would have created, had he lived another decade or so beyond his sad, somewhat premature death.

Actually, constitutionally, the south was in the right. They had the right to secede. If they didn't, how could the US allow west Virginia to secede from Virginia? The north never recognized the south as a separate country. Do I think they should have won? Meddling with history always has an effect on how things play out, but I do think we wouldnt be in such a mess right now if the south had won.
