  • I use these settings:

    Uncheck blurred reflections and transparency

    Advanced Effects Quality: 50%

    Motion Blur (Hybrid) 1 pass

    Anti-Aliasing: Object only (leave texture anti-aliasing unchecked) Systematic/Soft(Sharp also works fine)/Subrays 10min 20max/Quality 75%/Texture Filtering 30%

    Most important: Advanced Animation Options

Check all 3 Flicker Reduction boxes and finally, render as an AVI. DO NOT RENDER AS IMAGE SEQUENCE or else the flicker reduction will not work.

    Hope this helps guys!

  • Thanks. Probably YouTube, unless you are referring to the tree at the end. That had some stuttering on it . Though, it was a pre Vue 5 plant, I believe. Overall it had a Hybrid 1.5D motion blur with 1 step on it. That can cause it as well, but it really helps eliminate flickering.

  • @dquinn2271 your animation is really flicker free, but to be honest, considering you usually use render farm for rendering ( image sequence ) - then rendering as an .avi to have flicker free animation would be not wise to be delicate eye-on,,,,

  • hey dude, I think these great. I really liked the first segment with the rain rolling down the glass. How did you do that?

  • @dquinn2271

Not rendering in image sequence is not very usefull.

What if the progrm crashes while rendering? Rerender the whole avi?

And what if you want to render with G-Buffer enabled?

I hope Vue 9 will come very soon. Have seen a comparisation, where with normal settings, the flickering is totally (or almost) gone.

  • @dquinn2271 Thanks for that, I'll give it ago - I've noticed the advance render anti-flicker settings causing some problems with my image sequences in the past so I'll try rendering as a .mov file.

    thanks

  • Amazing, no flickering at all. If you don't mind me asking:

    1. What image resolution size did you use?

    2. What anti alising settings did you use? (or did you use Final, Broadcast, etc, settings)

    3. What frame rate did you use.

I'd be really interested to see your answers

    thanks

  • very very very well done.......i'm still trying to understand everything in the program. i noticed a bit of stuttering....or was it youtube that did it?
