  • This is fantastic. An excellent band, this should dispell all the doubters who think Bruce Hornsby has only done one song or all his songs sound the same!!!

  • Haha glad you enjoyed ... even the SAME songs don't sound the same! Different every time...

  • if only i didn't have my head up my ass as a 16 year old metal head. I watched about 3 bruce Hornsby tunes while i ate some lunch in the back. Now i spend 3 hrs a day celebrating the noisemaker catalog.

  • Not sure if most realize that this is a song to throwback basketball star. Bruce is a huge Basketball fan and still plays regularly from what I'm told.

"I recall when you fill it on up....When you bow to the (Ball) crowd..and the girls in the short skirts screaming loud.

    Incredible imagery!

  • From somebody that's listened to hundreds of albums across every genre, I'd have to say 'A Night on the Town' is one of my all-time favorites. When in doubt, this one gets a spin.

  • Hornsby has that Afro-Celtic sonic/cultural mix that comes from the Southern US - - the melancholy-sweet lament quality from Scotland and Ireland combined with African percussive, jazz-inflected rhythms and exuberance - a uniquely American blend (it even goes up thorugh Canada, they're blues-crazy up there) -- Love this sound!

  • What raw, pure, unfiltered talent! From every member of the band! God, this is proper music. So evocative and emotional

  • Love Love Love absolutely love it!!!!! This guy is KING OF THE HILLL!!!!!!

  • @tauras88d nice thank you very much....feel free to check out some of my steve kimock and dead covers...originals too

  • @sstslide270out there is a excellent live version of this song on hornsby"s (here comes the noise makers) live" cd

  • Great song...Wish he could have gotten the verses right though. Sheeeesh!

  • One of the best songs he's ever wrote...And he's wrote a lot great ones...But this is the one!!!
