I tried to read Kerouac once but did not get very far. This reading inspires me to have another go.

this book was so much of a seminal influence on me....

i was listening to the audiobook just a few weeks ago

This particular recording was from The Steve Allen Show..if I recall correctly. Steve was at the piano and Jack was reading an excerpt from his book.
