VOICE CHAT: Speech gestures
Did you know that your avatar can make gestures when speaking? First, find Speech Gestures in Inventory -- Library -- Gestures -- Speech Gestures. Find the Speech Gestures you want to use and drag-and-drop them onto yourself to activate them. Your avatar will then be animated when you speak. While not obvious, these speech gestures should respond to voice volume. Re-logging will show you the Speech Gestures you copied from the Library. To deactivate Speech Gestures, use "Take Off Items", or go to Inventory, find them, then hold Shift key and click to select a range of items, then Right-click and deactivate them. (Be sure to use a humanoid avatar! For a "quick-change", drag-and-drop an avatar folder onto yourself.)
Good for you, sir, on the comment regarding being asked why you use a female avatar and not why you use any of your dozens of other avatars. Sexism abounds.
"Long answer, of course, is ... I'm Torley."
Spot on. :-D

Torley, don't forget to let people know that if they don't deactivate these before they delete them they will remain on. Drove me nuts flapping around like a windmill for months before I was able to find a workaround fix through a client someone else programmed.
