I was visiting from Victoria B.C. where we have many markets and I must admit this one was far superior in many ways. The vendors were friendly and sold a wide variety of items. Alvarado St. was filled with the sounds of summer, the scent of amazing foods, and gave my eyes the opportunity to watch people enjoying a wonderful experience. My many thanks to the vendors and to the city of Monterey! LOVE the market..LOVE the city...LOVE the people...LOVE you Ron...Peace

LOVE this market....I live only 2 blocks away and buy fresh organic vege's, fruit, cinnamon bread, calamari and Horchata (Mexican rice drink). The BBQ, Lebanese food, lamb curry are outstanding. My dear friends from Victoria were here visting me this past week and they absolutely LOVED the market as well as Monterey. The market has everything that will suit anyones palate from food, clothes, jewelry, soaps, flowers, plants..etc!!
