Israel's national anthem sung by Enrico Macias.
The poem was written by the Zionist Naftali Herz Imber in 1877 in Iaşi, Romania. In 1882 he moved to Palestine where he continued working on his poetry in 1886 he published his first book of poems one of them was "Tikvateinu," which soon after became the Jewish anthem. The book was entitled "Barkai" ("Morning Star") and was published and printed in Jerusalem!

This video is subtitled in both English and Hebrew for those people who can't understand the Hebrew lyrics.

Note: This is also the Jewish anthem, as determined by Herzl at the first Zionist Congress in 1897 which was held in Basle, Switzerland.
The first time it was sung by a group was at the conclusion of that conference on August 31, 1897. Following the congress, on September 3, 1897 Herzl wrote in his diary "Were I to sum up the Basel Congress in a word — which I shall guard against pronouncing publicly — it would be this: At Basel, I founded the Jewish State. If I said this out loud today, I would be answered by universal laughter. Perhaps in five years, certainly in fifty, everyone will know it." In fact the State of Israel was founded on May 14, 1948 which was 50 years, 8 months, and 11 days later!

Herzl's famous quote from his 1902 book Altneuland (Old, New Land) (אלטנוילנד)
"בעברית: "אם תרצו, אין זו אגדה
"If you will it, it is no dream." :או באנגלית
"Im tirtsu, ein zo agada" :ובעברית-אנגלית
