  • What brave brave men. Just a little short on brains.

  • He lost a cousin in the war. I am guessing that it is a mark of personal mourning.

  • They would have gone to American run hospitals on the British mainland before going home to America for a long term rehabilitation...If rehab was deemed necessary.

  • I noticed His Majesty was wearing what appears to be a black arm-band, any idea why?

  • Sorry if I sound dense, but I'm just beginning to learn about WWI. Were the wounded Americans also shipped to British hospitals?? Or did they stay in field hospitals?? And what about for rehabilitation... were they sent back to America??

  • Pip, pip and all that rot! Stiff upper lip I say.... jolly good show! Righto then, off to the races old boy. For King and country! Smashing film! Cheers!

  • Heard many had to sell matches/poppies etc from street corners for years to come..not fitting for the flower of their youth..rip brave souls..

  • Sad to see young lads with limbs missing, what chance would they have in the greast recession that followed the War..

  • George V had a great personality!
