Great book, crappy movie

why is christians so quick to daw the "brainwash-card"? If anyone is braiwashing their kids it has to be religious people.

The golden compass is a trilogy that critisise religion, but I don't understand the problem? There are thousands of books out there who does the the same thing!

And christians critisise everything; homosexuality, atheism, islam .. and so on.

@headalphafemale ha people only turn to religion because they dont know and there scared and so they come up with these gods who they think will give them eternal life if there good and then theres greedy people like priests who take peoples fear and use it for power

God loves life, he has made and supported alot of different kinds of it. Too many things are logical and these rules haven't as yet changed. He has control. What we see as imperfect is actually perfect and can teach us a different way to look at things and learn about ourselves. He has mixed and matched so many things into one place, it is awesome. Most answers are easily found.

well if we were to take it at face value it would be 50/50 add in all of the claims (tens of thousands) of gods and the chances of there being a god and it being your god plummet

life is about life your right but "life" thats in life is about god for me. and religions meens "loving people. so yes I am very "religions".Not in the bible bashing way. God made life becuse he wanted to not to judge us. how would you know? have you sat down with him and had a lil chat about life?? lol....

Life is about life. Period.

If you aren't religious, that should be obvious. And if you ARE religious, the only reason you have a life is so you will experience that of a mortal being.

Otherwise, God would not have given life. It'd be a purposeless act if the intention was solely to judge for afterlife. Mortality on a judgment basis is a waste of time and energy. It's for experience. Hence, not about the afterlife.

If God is not real, though: try to make the most of life. You don't know.

god painted a picture called "life" that doesn't meen he is defined by it. he doesnt have to be born and he doesn't need to die.

I have seen nothing in my life that can't be explained with science. On the flipside, I've also never seen anything that makes me think "there is no way there is a god."

Life isn't about what happens after you die, though. It's about life.
