Three British Reggae Sound System Clash.
SAXON STUDIO INTERNATIONAL: is one of the best known London reggae sound systems. It is notable for being the first UK sound system to win an international competition and also being where three artists who went on to achieve UK Top Forty hits first came to prominence.
Saxon Studio International began operating in Lewisham, South London in 1976. The sound came to prominence in the early 80s because of the "fast chat" style which was pioneered by its deejay Peter King. Other Saxon MCs included Tippa Irie , Smiley Culture, Asher Senator , Papa Levi , Daddy Colonel, Daddy Rusty and Daddy Sandy all of whom developed this style and went on to release records, some (such as Smiley and Tippa) achieving Top 40 hits in the UK national chart.
Singer Maxi Priest also began his musical career on Saxon
In 1992, Saxon won the UK Cup Clash (a tournament for reggae soundsystems).
In 1994, Saxon became the first UK soundsystem to win the World Clash.

DAVID RODIGAN:, born 24 June 1951 on a military base in Hanover, Germany, is a British radioDJ who also performs as a selector for his sound system. Known for his selections of reggae and dancehall music, he has played on stations including Radio London, Capital 95.8, Kiss 100and BFBS Radio 1.
He has stated that his passion for Jamaican music was initiated by watching Millie Smallperform her 1964 hit My Boy Lollipop at the Ready Steady Go! TV show as a school boy. By the age of 15, David Rodigan was DJing at school dances and youth clubs. Leaving school in 1970, he spent a year studying economics before leaving to study drama. Despite pursuing an acting career, Rodigan kept his passion for music alive, selling records in Oxford then Putney, before obtaining a job on Radio London in 1978.
A year later he was offered a permanent slot at Capital Radio to present Roots Rockers, which ran for 11 years. In 1990 a change in management and music policy at the station lead to David leaving to start a new show for Kiss FM when it relaunched that September as London's first legal 24-hour dance music station. He currently hosts the Sunday night slot from 11pm till 1am.

SIR COXON: Behind the combination of superlative equipment, a rare library of music, the creative ability to "present" reggae music and the teamwork which has ensured that Coxsone has for over a decade been the sound against which all others are judged is its founder, Lloyd Coxsone.
"Sounds called Coxsone is the first. Sounds that control the universe and quench your musical thirsts. Directed by Donovan Fontaine
