From the concept album by progressive metal band Coheed and Cambria, "In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth: 3".

Ten years before Silent Earth, the children of a lost war now fight to regain what their parents had killed themselves over. With his sons around him, Jesse Kilgannon and his Iro-bots continue the lost rebellion started by his lover Mariah. Manning the massive Jackhammer turrets, the small group attempts to fend off against an invasion by the forces of Tri-Mage Wilhelm Ryan, Jesse's hatred and fury fueling his vicious returning volleys.

And off in the universe, as Jesse fought as a speck on the Fence, his brother's blood machine was lost for ten years...

  • I honestly can't pick a favorite song on this album between this one, backend of forever and the crowing. Can you?!?!

  • @MrMrNdw Yeah man, it's called "Faint of Hearts"

  • Holy shit!

"For you, I'd do anything just to make you happy, hear you tell me that you're proud of me. For them, I'd kill anything, cut the throats of babies for them break their hearts for they were them. Wai-hey- ting, for you to say...I..love..you..too."

^Is that....supposed to be Sizer? The first part could be reference to Jesse and perhaps the second line (them) to the army that took him.

    Idk, I still need to catch up on the comics otl;;;

  • @ViralJuggernaut This entire song is pretty much about Sizer and Jesse getting pissed off at everything and blowing shit up for the people they love. I'm pretty sure most of the lyrics are interchangeable between them.

  • in the seventh turning hour,

    will the victim's shadow fall?

    should the irony grow hungry,

with the victory, and all they've sought for?

we were, one among the fence...

    one among the fence...<3

  • TY Godz <3

  • Miss you Joel, hope you can still hear them up there.

  • brb, just died.

  • Man...these days I really fucking hate people who dislike Coheed and Cambria. And I really fucking love this song. Pardon my French.

  • 44 people did not man their own jackhammers.

  • @fightnight217 Nah, Coheed doesn't do that because he wants Cambria's approval or love. He did it because he was tricked by Mayo. SSTB was about that though

  • @SuperTimeConsumer That line gives me chills; I love it.

  • @ViralJuggernaut i think it is coheed talking to cambria about making the decision to kill their kids or not

  • This is one one my favorite songs of all time. A true masterpiece.
