A New Trade Policy IS Possible: Rally for Trade Justice!

Wednesday, June 29th
4:30 -- 5:30 pm

Federal Courthouse Plaza
7th and Stewart

Seattle, WA 98101
(1/2 block from Rep. McDermott's Office)

Corporations and the WA State Congressional Delegation are trying to sell us trade policy pieced together with parts of NAFTA, CAFTA, Peru FTA, Investment Rights above Human Rights, Corporate Subsidies for Off-shoring Jobs, Environmental Degradation, Impunity for Union Murders, Support for SweatShops, Disrespect for Farmers and Indigenous Communities.

They are putting new names on these Free Trade Agreements: South Korea, Colombia and Panama but we the people of WA State know these are the same old broken down policies that run up millions of lost jobs, belch pollution into our environment, endanger our communities and have the same corporate executives in the drivers seat!

The time is NOW!

Our elected leaders vote in July on pending trade agreements with South Korea, Colombia and Panama. Join workers, faith, student, business and community trade activists to announce a New People's Trade Policy!

Organized by: Washington Fair Trade Coalition, Community Alliance for Global Justice, Witness for Peace NW, Seattle Committee in Solidarity with the People of El Salvador

Endorsed by: A Philip Randolph Institute, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW Local 46), MLKC Jobs with Justice, Sierra Club Cascade Chapter, Society for Professional Engineers and Employees in Aeronautics (SPEEA), Puget Sound Alliance for Retired Americans (PSARA), United Students Against Sweatshops (USAS), Washington Community Action Network (WACAN), Washington State Labor Council (WSLC)

Invitees include Seattle Labor Chorus, 'We the People' and 'We the Corporations', Backbone Radical Drum Core, and You!
