Wow-thanks for the info PhillyGal! I FINALLY got to watch this entire 1979 World Cup AA nonstop! You're right-the whole competition is on Google's site. I hope they don't take it down!

I'm sorry-correction-Nadia scored a 9.30 on bars not a 9.35.

Nadia scored a 9.80. Unfortunately she started off badly on bars (9.35) and never quite caught up ending up 4th in the AA. But she still won gold on vault, and fx and I think silver on beam. A magnificent comeback for a young lady who had suffered through a tremendous growth spurt (over 4 inches since Montreal '76) in an unforgiving sport. You can google Gymnastics 1979 World Cup and watch the entire competition if you like. I embedded it to myspace but I don't know how to dl then ul to yt.
