An early 90s advert for Ariston, which inexplicably uses Jonathan Dunn's title music from the Gameboy version of Robocop (the music was also in the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and Commodore 64 versions but it was specifically the Gameboy version that was used for the advert).

Video downloaded from http://worldofstuart.excellentcontent.com/ariston.htm and converted from RealMedia using SUPER from erightsoft.com

  • amstrad cpc 464 robocop!

  • This is 1991 and it also reminds me of my Amiga, I had a game (hacked, naughty!) where the hackers screen had a tune not dissimilar to this, very nice, very classic!

  • Wow strange hearing this on an advert. Thanks for this, I love Jonathan Dunn's work, he was one of my favourite composers and I always enjoy uploading his music.

  • Bloody hell, all these years, nostalgia time! I remember seeing this come on TV during the late 80s/early 90s and thinking: "this is the music from Robocop Spectrum 128! What's going on?"

Never realised it was from the Gameboy version, sound so similar and I didn't know about the backstory either. Thanks for uploading and sharing :)

  • same!

  • Is a piece by Jonathan Dunne

  • wow. . . .really?? wow
