  • omg. I think I've seen this guy before. He's definitely from the kansai area. There was a crazy old man selling sen en knives at a monthly market in Kyoto. lol

  • Yeah, he is from there. He was insulting everyone telling we weredumbasses if we didn't't buy the knifes so i bought one of his knifes. Sharp, but, it has oxide everywhere.

  • It's probably carbon steel rather than stainless. Carbon steel is/can be made much sharper and hold an edge longer.

  • It's carbon steel, you have to wash and DRY it after you use it, otherwise it will rust. $10 for a knife of that quality is unbelievable. A decent Japanese knife will cost you six times that much in the West.
