Wanda Sa is not only one of the great wonders of world music, she is one of the great ladies of bossa nova who is unknown outside of Brazil. This is unconscionable. No slight to Astrud Gilberto (who was unknown in Brazil at the height of Bossa Nova) nor Elis Regina (undisputed queen of Brazilian music) but Wanda Sa's voice is mesmerizing. Her surfer girl looks during bossa nova's heyday only heightened her singularity as a Brazilian artist. She deserves every accolade she gets! Viva Wanda
