  • That's a good story and example. Optimism and pessimism are philosophies. I meet a lot of professional pessimists and/or people who go there by default.

  • Koufax is named after Sandy Koufax, the great Dodger pitcher, and perhaps the greatest pitcher in baseball history. Full American Kennel Club name: Sanford van Koufax of Ebbets. I've been to Sydney about 14 or so times, by the way.

  • Thanks!!

  • My grandfather believed this without expressing it verbally. He believed & behaved accordingly. He went back to Italy with two small children when his first wife died. Later remarried he returned to the US. He would build a house but would lost it in the '39 depression. Not beaten, within a few years, now in his 60's he would build a new home on the land right behind his first .

If you believe. You behave. Or you become (one of the many) self imposed victims, who do nothing but complain.

  • Your contrarian and no-nosense approach to business consulting Alan is truly refreshing. There is so much fluff being 'bought' I am astounded. Have been a student of yours for a number of years now and wanted to say thank you.

Dying to ask - what is the reasoning behind the name of your gorgeous dog...Koufax if you don't mind me asking?

All the very best and please come to Australia (Sydney) soon!

  • Just bought your book Alan Starting a consulting firm. Its an eye opener. I thought I was at 80% than I read your book :) Also bought million dollar consulting. Both great reads and going to apply what I can to my firm once I get it running.

  • Priceless advice. Thank you Alan.
