This is Giovanni Dettori's "Lady Gaga Fugue," based on "Bad Romance." I created a pedal part at times from the bass voice. At the end, I added a little stylus phantasticus with an elaborate pedal part more idiomatic to the organ.
Thanks to Zach Dunn for taking the video!

Stop playing dull sounds, listen to Alcan and learn how abject this fuga is, not Lady Gaga and her songs but this particular fugue, please, rewrite it, because the idea is good and people love such things, but the purpose of counterpoint is to be fun, not like this fugue.

@arsviatticae Ok.

@arsviatticae Try looking up other performances of this fugue. I've heard a few that really are fun. It's just the plodding execution here that drags it down a little.

@einootspork After many months since recording this, I'm afraid I find my performance plodding, too. At the time, I was attempting a tongue-in-cheek "academic" approach to make for a very serious fugue, but the humor's lost here. The original piano version (linked in my video description) is beautifully played.

Nicely played, Paul. And I'm most intrigued with the construction of this organ. How old is it?
