The ride is around the Skelton area of Cleveland UK. 2.37 into the vid the section is Saltburn bank a steep 1.4 and at 3.24 this is where the Saltburn Hill climb is held, the track starts at the zebra crossing over the bridge to a very tight right hander then climbs steeply 1.4ish to a long left hander with adverse camber still climbing, leaving the corner the road straightens up for the sprint which finishes just after the houses.

  • Hi all - I first watched this vid a year ago and have meant to post ever since!

Great video - I love the bonnie! Sounds so good I often play this instead of music ;)

Next purchase is definitely going to be one of the new 865s. Just have to get my full licence - I'm riding a Honda VTR250 at the moment and while it's torquey for a 250 it's a little uninspiring!

Does anyone know if the new bonnies sound like the old ones? Or are those staintunes mentioned below a must-have?

    Cheers!

  • Hi opbk88 glad you enjoyed the vid :-)

good luck for your full licence.

As for new Bonnie's sounding like the old ones

in short no they don't the new ones have too many emissions rules to contend with and engine design is different.

I passed my test on a Crooks Suzuki T250J back in the 70's I loved it.

    ride safe.

  • Another excellent vid there Lunmad! I live in Saltburn and really enjoyed following the roads on your movie. Your helmet cam (and sound) is great! What a beautiful sounding Bonnie you've got there. Made my day that!!! keep up the good work.

ps. Do you have part 2 of the Clay Bank, Chop Yat video?

  • Glad you liked it mackybasher, there are some great roads around the area suited to the Bonnie. I must get some more done and posted :-)

  • Sounds great - like being there! Nice looking too. Rich

  • Glad you liked it richhawks1, I am still working on the carbs as they do run rich as you say :-)
