@2angeline most greek verbs in the first person singular end in "ω". One can discern several groups as far as the suffix is concerned. More specifically there are verbs ending in: -ω, -ίζω, -ομαι (this is usually passive voice)
-
So most regular verbs belong to the same group as 'to have'. And they all end with the sound O. What are the other groups please? I can't find anything on the net that covers Greek grammar.
-
@TheAwesomeEclipse she is not saying that. suffix "ω" is for first person and "εις" is for second person
-
Can someone explain why she is saying ω like ees?
-
@ecjsimmigration1 Yes, they do. "ω" is pronounced exactly as "o". Some words are written with "o", others with "ω" and others are written with both of them (for example "πρόσωπο" = face). But all verbs end in "ω".
-
what does the -w signify? do all the verbs finish like that?
-
