Jim - I see the need for the 2 channels, one for your mic and one for your music. What if you accept incoming calls on your show? For example Skype calls. Will you need a 3rd channel for this audio? If so, how do you split that audio from the calls from the audio that would be your music since both sounds come from the same set of speakers?

Very good question and I thank you. I do not use Skype, but I am familiar with that application.  I could be very wrong here, but I see NO NEED in using a "seperate mixer channel" just for that. Also, it may be noted that my "external speakers" are NEVER on when I am broadcasting. This would cause feedback into my dynamic mic. I am pretty sure that your "sound channel" (on your mixer) is all that you need for any computer program generated sounds :)

Well Bush I sure appreciate that. I had my sound mixer turned up too loud so therefore my voice was not as clear as it should be. Oh well :)

PLEASE FOLKS allow me to apologize for the "popping and crackles" that I had in this video. I had my sound mixer turned up a wee bit too high. ALSO, please note that "Behringer" is NOT the only name brand in good sound mixers.  M-Audio makes them, Radio Shack carries them and on and on. A person ONLY needs a 2 channel mixer for internet broadcasting. The only REAL problem is wiring them into your computer. Sound ports on computers vary so therefore you will have to adapt :)

There is no better mic. U use what sounds the best for your voice. Any professional recording engineer would tell you that. The Shure SM7B is a very common broadcast mic and a good place to start.

@haakman123 SM58 is a dynamic mic. The Shure SM87 is a condensor mic.

You need a better mixer a 22 channel no dj 4 lines mixer and buy a noise cap i got the same microphone so buy it buy it buy it

You're saying people shouldn't use condensor mics but studio quality condensor mics are much better than this crapy condenser mic you got. If you are looking for a condensor mic for not to much mony, buy a shure sm58.
