Ames Production - Didier Lockwood Concert Office

  • Is anybody answer me : what effect pedals uses Didier Lokwood? And which processor is he using? I wonder exactli what kind of LEXIKON pedal is appear on video and what function it has?

  • "improvisation is the worst discipline".

    =/

  • Vengerov could have become one of the GREATEST jazz violinists ever!

If he could go to American jazz clubs and sit in on jam sessions, he'd get it eventually.

All violinists of any caliber who want to improvise melodic jazz MUST be able to run horizontal and vertical modes in any key. Didier Lockwood was demonstrating his fine horizontal modal movement to Vengerov about midway through this video.

  • Whatch the Alter Quintet

  • as a amazing incredible example of jazz wisely roots and fantastic improvisation ability of Didier Lockwood there is a video, Live in Biarritz 2003, of Jean Marie Ecay where Didier embracing brilliantly a wide spectrum of jazz from hotjazz club tradition to advanced bebop and contemporary fusion. The fact Didier ALSO have a impressive classical violin training don´t mean he is not able to be one of the big names on jazz in the world.

  • what??? I respect opinions but this from baantalingngam "The funny thing is,I don't think that Didier Lockwood is a real jazz musician" <---- it is ridicolous!!!! you must to listen more of Didier, I don´t care any ignorant think about anything personally, but I so worried about of negative effects this kind of destructive comments cause in other persons looking for jazz information...c´mon man!

  • The funny thing is,I don't think that Didier Lockwood is a real jazz musician. He's as hampered by his early classical violin training as Ponty is.Too much emphasis on super clean execution of pre-prepared "licks",but not much jumping off the cliff.

  • Hi,

This take place in Didier Lockwood's school in France who's name "CMDL" (Centre des Musiques Didier Lockwood). This school has a web site : cmdl "dot" free "dot" fr
