(2001) 48pts 16rbds classic vs Sacramento in game 4 of conference semi-finals.

Kobe Bryant emerged triumphant from a hectic weekend that was more than most 22-year-olds could handle.
In a 48-hour span, Bryant scored 36pts in game 3, rushed home to Los Angeles to check on his wife's health, then hurried back to Sacramento for another amazing performance that put the Lakers in the conference finals.

Bryant set career playoff bests with 48 points and 16 rebounds (still career high), leading his team to a wild victory over the Kings, with Shaq limited by foul troubles.

Kobe Bryant: 48pts (15/29FGS) 17/19FTM 16rbds 3asts 2stls in 48 minutes.

One of Kobe Bryant best games ever for sure.

This vid is also for the Kobe haters and the Lebron bandwagon fans.
Talk about greatness? Kobe was only 22. Three days later, he lights up the Alamodome with 45pts vs the Spurs.
Everybody - especially those ESPN analysts- are talking about the way Lebron is playing right know, that whowww he's the best in the league, he has surpassed Kobe 'cause he can score 40pts+ in the playoffs at age 24.
But they seem to easily forget Kobe's history. Nothing Lebron is doing right know is impressing me. It's like DEJA VU with a 22 year-old #8! Damn it!

You can't scientifically validate something as subjective as that.

  • Based on scientific evidence ..Kobe Bryant is the most skilled to play the game..

  • @Bugs1238 It's a sad fact, I know.

  • @paanoba

    yeah, but people ignore that.

  • @clermontr24 YOU MEAN SCAPEGOAT?

  • Imagine Kobe not being a Laker. And Shaq carried the Lakers throughout the playoffs from 2000-2002. From that long stretch, Shaq would have had games where he is limited to score because of foul trouble, which could put the Lakers out of contention if a big game is up for grabs. Who would step up? NONE! Shaq alone couldn't do it; heck he and his team might not reach the Finals on that stretch.

That's why there's Kobe; Shaq had someone who could step up when no one can. That's greatness.

  • the G.O.A.T.

  • kobe has always played llike a big man
