Shri Shiv Tandav Stotra

The Shiv Tandav Stotra Written by the Greatest Shiv Bhakt of all "RAVAN" or "DASHANAND" or "LANKESH', the Ten Headed King of Lanka and Demons, the Great scholar. He had a wish, that every morning he would wake up and be able to see his Lord Shiva, for this he requested Lord Shiva to come and stay with him and he denied so Ravan decided to pick up Kailash Parvat and bring it along with him to the Lanka and he did managed to pick it up on his head but couldn't move against the will of Lord Shiva, So this was the time he decided to win over Lord Shiva with his tapasya (meditation) He played (veena) music with his intestines and sang this stotra and that's where and when this Stotra got made.He also managed to win over Lord Shiva and also got his wish and Lord Shiva gave him a shiv Ling to take along but there was a condition that once this Ling is kept on the ground it couldn't be moved. And the Ravan was tricked by Ganeshji as he asked him to hold on to the shiv ling as he went for the toilet.....
This is a small try from My side to put together a story of Ravan, The great scholar who knew everything about himself and his brother Kumbhkaran. That they use to be Jay And Vijay the gate keepers of Lord Vishnu and were cursed by 4 maharishis that they would be takin birth as Daytyas and Lord Vishnu's enemies which was latter on minimized by Lord Vishnu to 3 times and get killed by Lord Vishnu himself and regain their position as the Gate keepers of the Almighty. Ravan also knew the Ram is the incarnation of Lord Vishnu and it was his and Kumbhkaran's 2nd life as the Daytyas, and the 1st was Hiranyakas and Hiranyakashyap... And 3rd one would be Kans and Shishupaal....
And that's the reason why Ravan went last on the Battlefield after the death of his entire family. And getting them Moksha.....

A last line states Ravana asking Shiva "when will I be happy" . Ravana being so higly educated ,devoted husbandand respected wouldn't have kidnapped Sita without reason. It was only Rama who could have freed Ravana. Hence his action is only a pretext to attain Moksha.

@kirankoti10 FRIEND, RAVANAN was a scholar and an intelligent man . he wanted every good things to be his own . you can't blame some body for claiming for some thing which is good and worth claiming but it should not be of others .But a scholar should Know What he deserves.THESE things are happening and had happened amongst man kind and you can expect repetitions.GIVE WITH OUT EXPECT IS THE BEST POLICY.
