Absolutely stunning!

With Ramey everything works, because he make things working.
Faboulus voice, outstanding stage artist, gorgeous body. Sure that stage directors recognize these features and even more sure that audience loves him.
can you please upload the whole production? I have pretty few bluebeards but this one seems to be the most exciting staging.

if an english version may contribute to this amazing opera's popularity - and we do need more frequent productions - then so be it.
this is a thrilling performance! have you any more parts of it?

@Arashi110 I would certainly hope not. There are basses that I simply wouldn't want to see doing this striptease! Also, I wouldn't want to see them in the little red suit from Mefistofele or any of Ramey's costumes from Semiramide or Attila. :-)

@bassfanne45 Yes, it worked quite well. Though I still doubt that the director would have used this idea, if he hadn't had such an athletic singer as Ramey at his disposal. ;-)
Before anyone comments on Ramey doing a "gratuitous striptease" in this video, Judith (Norman's character) is actually peeling away layers of Bluebeard's personality as the opera plays out. Hence, as this happens, Bluebeard keeps removing articles of clothing. I know it seems a little weird, but it really works when you see the entire opera. One really needs to see the whole video. The performances, staging, and blocking are brilliant.
