man screw "We are loyal", commercialised dave dobbyn. shapeshifter represents the soul of nz, summer months as well as the people, we should promote nz with shapeshifter a perfect blend of urban yet still natural sounds to accompany the natural beauty of this country thats so marketable to the rest of the world. these guys are the real deal and have been in nz music circles for years. shapeshifter = the most endearing portrayal of nz IMO

Look if someone calling himself or herself special or using any other type of prideful adjective on their self or the product they create hurts you, it is a problem of self esteem you have... perhaps you should talk to your therapist about your self esteem issues along with the alcohol problem... go to the nearest AAA location :)

Only someone who thinks of himself as less would feel hurt if someone else calls their self superior or special, since you think of yourself as less from the start

Yeah, i was pretty drunk when i wrote that, so apologies for extreme comments. I still find it hard to believe you dont think you are better if you say are "special". I am actually from Wales which has an even smaller population (Under 3 million), and there are some great acts too. My point is, when i listen to music on youtube i like to read under what people think of the music etc. But when every comment is just, "respect to NZ", "I'm so proud of NZ", i just get a little bored.

We don't have 60 odd million people like your UK, we have 4 million so when this band signed to Hospital Records as NEW ZEALND Shapeshifter (am I wrong? no) creates some magical music like this they themselves are promoting therefore being proud of NZ. It is true music is a worldwide language so true appreciate from wherever but do not call us "facist fools" for taking pride in our homegrown talent.We dont think we are better just special

Man, i love this music. It is so blissful! and yet, i wish all the new zealand people would shut up about how amazing their sound is. Stop being so nationalist. This could have come from any country. There is soulful music all around. It dont matter where you are from. Stop being facist fools. Just enjoy music for what is, dont matter where it comes from......
