Bob Doran

On the first test the nozzle blew, so rather than putting a new e-match in, I just stuck in a visco fuse re-lit the engine and enjoyed the nice blue color. No thrust at all since the nozzle is gone. Still looks nice though. This engine was composed of Ammonium Perchlorate, Copper Oxide, epoxy resin/hardener, and Aluminum.

  • Potasium chlorate and sugar is a lot more viscuose

  • @gr8boyz118 KClO3 should never be used as the oxidizing agent in a rocket propellant.

  • @44R0Ndin well, for end-burners anyways, core burning solids are a different story

  • @elliotmotoX says "nozzleless" in the title, no nozzle = no thrust

  • @elliotmotoX it was nozzelless if you read it

  • @BobD1001 Wow!! I never knew that before.

  • @Etne1988Diserple Yes, that is the composition of the fuel used for their SRBs.

  • @BobD1001 That's the type of fuel used by the NASA for the Shuttle's Solid Rocket Boosters??.

  • would be a nice colour for firework stars :D
