Thank you for sharing this wonderful song.
This really needs to be recorded and heard on the airwaves.
I am an American Veteran myself and love this country very much.
I attached a Video Response of my cover "Where the Stars and Stripes and the Eagle Fly" by Aaron Tippon and hope it is a good fit for this very moving video.
God Bless the USA

I've been out of the Navy since 2006 and watching this brings back memories of standing on that flight deck and looking down at all the families waving goodbye. It's emotional and never gets easier deploying. My heart goes out to all those out there today deploying to wherever it may be...
-
my husband is navy and this brings back so many memories of the days he got deployed i remember the airport being so nice and giving my kids orange sticks to wave bye to their dad and they gave my husband one as well that last hug and that last kiss you won't forget before they leave it was a hard day for me i cried so much
-
i leave for navy boot camp in august- i'm already missing all of my friends and family. to all those who leave someone behind when the deploy, my best wishes go with you and your family.

Hoo-YAH NAVY!!!!

Deployment are tough; very difficult, especially long ones if they get extended. We need to keep America's fighting men and women in our prayers always.

who sings this song

@sergio198431 This song is sung by adding completely unknown studio musician from New York City who I hired to sing it. It was written by two unprofessional songwriters in Maine where I lived at the time. The song was a hit with the Navy and several Navy country music bands adopted it & it as their theme song.

Those sailors and their wives and children wish so as well.

How true this video! I have been thru at least 20plus++deployments between Dad, Brother, and my hubby, being left behind, watching your loved one go further and further from you is the hardest thing to stand there and watch with your chin-up, with a wave and a smile!.... BUT when you see that ship come thru the jetty hardor again, ..OH what excitment you feel! =) IT IS THE BEST OF THE BEST feeling in the world! "A BIG Thank You to all those who serve, even the families left behind!" GO NAVY!!!
