Sheltie Puppy's First Time Off-Leash Fun!

My 9 month old sheltie puppy named Precious was off-leash today for her first time on a soccer field! I tried to beat the summer tennis players going in to the tennis court but it seems I was late again and lots of people were already there (even though I got there at 7:20 AM?!?!)... I didn't want to wait till everyone was finished but also didn't want to make the walk back home without having let Precious have some running freedom fun!

Thus, I made the decision to let Precious off-leash on a far adjacent empty soccer field, since at this early hour there were no cars, no basketball ball games, no children, no bikes, no dogs.. AKA no distractions!! So YAYYY! It went SUPERB!!! She LOVED it! She stuck right by me and her recalls were great and we played lots of fetching games!!! I was so glad she didn't try to venture off sniffing and running away excitedly. She was very focused on me and listened very obediently to every small command - WITH NO TREATS!! Gosh, it was a great way to start our morning! Lots of sweat, lots of play, lots of fun~
