  • hey man, when was that lima job u got pics of in that video, im out of 85 and was curious.

  • Would have been back in late Feburay to early March of '04. Were you there?

  • Boilermaker work in the field is mostly BULL-GANG-WORK, their own fancy terminology that means: common dirty labor work , designed to injure your back, if not cost you your life. Even the welding did in the field in those dirty ovens is not something you want to do if you like welding. BOILERMAKER SHOP WORK, is totally different. Cleaner environment, where you can enjoy your trade of welding.

  • Shop work is nothing like being in the field! Go to a nasty refinery or boiler once in your life!

  • Local 13 here, Nice video

  • Thanks!

  • After 8 years on the road as a tankie, before the advent of man-lifts, we climded steel. Anyone who has went from grade, bottom, tub sheets, and on up to the 16 pole structure of a 120 fuel storage tank, a few times over, can just flip off any annoying gorp runnin around with a camera while the boss is takin a shit, drop your hood and start welded.
