  • Gollop designed X-COM, so the similarities aren't too surprising. I think that this is the most interesting 3DS launch game.

  • Hmmm - looks like a simple turn-based shooter with HPs to grind down. Not quite seeing the tactical breadth of X-Com environments, or the potential to win "with heavy casualties" creating longer term resource balancing issues.

Looks like it might be OK, but nothing here to make me get overly excited I'm afraid.

  • I hate these kinds of games. They don't even sell good. And just because you put guns in it doesn't make it better. In fact, you don't even have to go close to the enemy anymore! Just stick with swords and magic please.

  • @kitches1991 Lol, this game wasn't made by nintendo.

  • Looks like fun, but am I the only one to notice that the weapon ranges are kind of short - especially as compared to the Ghost Recon franchise or Gollop's famous X-Com? Only the missile launcher appears to have a decent range on it.

Also, I do hope this is easy difficulty - the HP disparity between player characters and enemies is ludicrous.

  • how's the 3d effect

  • this game was made for ds but change it for 3ds!

  • why didnt they use the x-com license for something like this? let's fuck up another classic franchise by turning it into a space marine tactics game for handhelds while making the next x-com game a linear console fps. oh golly how i love games today.

  • @kitches1991 Don't blame Nintendo, blame Ubisoft and how they make crappy games really quick for a new console. :P

  • @nils0sch Heh heh, funny story there. You see, it was originally a DS game, but you know how Ubisoft can be when it comes to new console launches. They started tweaking small things to make it available for the 3DS, well that does explain a lot if you think their launch tittles were lacking in content. Anyways, DS game to 3DS game= Not so good.

  • loolks like a DS game ._.
