  • Seeing that smaller guy bench 600lbs at the beginning of the vid is really inspiring to a small guy like me

  • is it really ok to lift your ass off ??

  • Great in-depth series.

  • @sunriser5041 Ozzy Osbourne - Over The Mountain

  • @BeefyDrew he is not very small

  • @CassOnCall I think bench pressing this way is the best for athletics. You're pushing with your entire body, even your legs, as opposed to a bodybuilding style bench press where you pretty much just have chest+triceps working. So this will build way more strength, since you're using more muscles. I guess if athletics are your goal though, you won't have to arch your back as much as a powerlifter, since that is more about decreasing the range the bar has to travel, but you should ask a pro :).

  • What song is being played at the beginnig?

These powerlifting gyms have true workout music!

  • @C0nstellati0ns Does it matter?

  • @finthallon Not in a normal powerlifting gym. In a fitnessgym he's probably the biggest there is.

  • @BeefyDrew Small? That guy is pretty damn big if you ask me.

  • I do wonder if there are perhaps better bench techniques out there for cross-over into athletics...
