I'm amazed at how many videos just like this one are on YouTube. Elenin is in the news, you see something on Google Sky you don't understand, therefor it must be Elenin. Hmmm... such logic! First, that is not Elenin. Second, you're looking at IRAS data which was collected back in 1983. You might consider joining your local astronomy club to gain a better understanding of the subject first, before posting such bad information. Cheers! =)

@mayataeho Elenin doesn't cause earthquakes and correlation doesn't always imply causation. Even if you aligned every single solar system planet including the big ones like Jupiter and Saturn it would not even amount to 2% of the Moon's pull on Earth. Elenin is only a tiny, tiny fraction of that number so no... Elenin does not cause earthquakes. Elenin/Earthquake correlation reports from people like Omerbashich are fundamentally flawed and should be looked at with a very skeptical eye.

@ron196 My comment was pretraining only to this video and the subject of the IRAS survey. Any follow-up surveys are outside the scope of my original comment.

Now that Elenin has broken up it sure flies in the face of doomsday conspiracy theorists -- don't you think? I wonder if any of them will learn from the experience and apply some skeptical thinking on future predictions? Probably not -- most believers will likely latch on the the next hoax without learning from the past experience.
