8mm home movie footage of a trip through Duluth, Minnesota, for some fishing in the Great White North. Amazingly, this original 1938 8mm home movie film is still in GREAT condition!

  • any idea what river they are next to

  • Well the right at the beginning, I'm sure that must be the Mississippi River. But as for the smaller rivers, rocky streams and waterfalls they are hanging out around, I really have no idea. The only clue I have is DULUTH MINN 1938 on the movie box. Thanks for watching, and writing!

  • stuff like this is awesome

  • do you know what ship that was at the begininning?>

  • I bet the fishing was even more awesome back then...the river where they are standing on the train trestle reminds me of a place up near Finlayson, MN

  • The Mississippi doesn't run through Duluth. That was most likely the st. louis river, lester river and chester creek. These videos are great, by the way; I've lived in Duluth all my life and I love the history here.

  • thanks that was cool..
