Thanks for posting this. It's always inspirational to see the masters play. They play with a lot of "haal," and the melody is always flowing. I also really like the fact that this video is available in HQ.

Setar size varies. I have a short one with a flat soundbox, also a long one with a gourd soundbox. The scale has string frets that represent notes in between the regualar Western scale. The notes that need semi-flats are the 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 7th. Winding the string frets is a bit tricky because it requires a knot that can firmly hold the frets in place before they are slid slightly upward. That is why the neck is tapered so the frets get tighter when they are slid up. I glue them.Dr. L. Miller
