W211 E55 CUSTOM EXHAUST TAKE OFF

This is ONE Autosport's 2003 E55 AMG. The resonator was removed and a custom xpipe was put in place. Each muffler was opened and gutted of fiberglass packing, but all metal walls were retained. This is the end result. Beastly for sure! All done for about $300. Enjoy!

What exactly do the resonators do & where are they located? I have a 05 w211 e55 & want a throatier sound, if I remove those only, would it make a huge difference?

@IkeLuvNY Resonators are around the middle of the car. Not a huge difference if you remove them, but certainly doesn't hurt and lets the car breath a little bit more.
