  • to the people saying don't confirm any bush nominee: do you realize that no one other than the president has any authority to nominate anyone? would you have us wait a year and a half before we get a new AG? this guy seems decent enough for a repub nominee. And he's certainly a lot better than the previous two.

  • Kidd - The problem is that we're winding up with all of these unconfirmed "defacto" appointments that might well be worse than the ones who come before congress.

  • He's being very particular in his phrasings...in general matters..when we can we will come to congress.

  • i agree they ought not to confirm a single f-n one of bush picks...but there will be scream of unpatriotic and unamerican because the islamohitlerist are planning an imminent attack and it'll be the fault of the dems if they do not confirm immediately.

in other words more b-s and fearmongering...

  • Wikipedia says that he is a defender of the Patriot Act.

  • If I were the Dems, I would not confirm a single Bush appointee from now until the end of his term... NOT... A... ONE! Could it be any worse than what the Bush cronies would do in office?? I think not.
