Agreed about "Fair". Llanpumsaint is in Carmarthenshire in West Wales. I've been there often in the past. It means literally "The Church of Five Saints".

(The Latin influenced parts of the Hail Mary in Welsh):

bendigedig (benedicta) merched, (similar to mulieribus)
a bendigedig yw Ffrwyth ( Benedictus Fructus) Sanctaidd (Sancta) Duw ( Dei),
pechaduriaid (peccatoribus)

to GewordeDinWilla--- i guess welsh and english adopted a lot of words from latin because of the norman-french influence in britain starting around a.d. 1100. although the catholic church had brought some latin influence into various non-latin languages ( such as english and welsh ), i think the norman-french influence was the greatest source of the latin influence in britain. the church was already dominant there before the norman-french, and english didn't have much of a latin influence then.
