Mary Timony Band plays Helium Song "Superball"

I recorded this with my phone. My phone had very little memory, hence only being 1:37 long. I also apolgize for the poor audio. Live, it sounded great. They also played Silver Angel. 10/17/07 at the Blender Theater during CMJ in NYC. Devin did not play that night. Chad played drums, and Mark Cisneros on Bass. A very short 30 minute set, but sweet. I couldn't stick around for the last band.

I just saw Mary Timony in her new band Wild Flag, twice, this past weekend! I also saw her at Spaceland, this small club in Los Angeles, like in 2004 or 2005. I thought she never did Helium songs anymore though, I wish she would've at that show, that would've been cool as hell. Her music has a light and airy side to it but can also be very dark and brooding at the same time. I wonder if she regrets that whole "sex kitten" image that the Helium videos gave her?

Glad to see Mary is still kicking it live after all this time. She should be in the heritage list by now. Fuckwits these days think artists like La Roux are worth their time over listening to original artists like MT.

She looks so self assured compared to the middle east/helium footage (though, i love that side of her as well).
