I have nearly completed the Zombiesmasher Project. I used the book "Building XNA 2. 0 Games A Practical Guide for Independent Game Development" from James Silva and the Assets that came with the book. The Postprocessing Effects and Particle Engine are kinda messed up - this is due to changes in XNA 4.0. It will take me some time to fix everything

  • Hey man this is looking alot better :) I recently had to fix some stuff up in my game because of the xna version 4, still I didnt have to much to do with alpha blending so I was fine.

  • @sdtuu: Yeah well the thing is, I'm way from being an expert when it comes to HLSL, so I just copied the effects files from the book. But I had to modify my draw() code.

But now I'm kinda stuck since I'm not sure if I need to adjust the .fx files or my drawing code to get the effects right. After my exams I will invest more time in HLSL :)

  • Looks awesome!

  • @falc410 yeah I've decided before I go onto a next game to come to grips with HLSL before even working out a new idea.

Stick with Xna to get this far into the book shows you got great patience and its needed for game programming! lol
