That wouldn't bother me at all. I'd love to have deaf friends, but I've never seen anyone who is deaf, to my knowledge. My aunt had/has a deaf friend. I think that's so cool. Being friends, she got to learn some ASL. I've always wanted to know as many languages as possible. Language is a barrier to be broken down. Each should exist, but can you imagine, Being able to communicate with virtually everyone you meet? It'd be amazing.

God made them deaf, to impact the world as much as they could. If they had implants, they'd be altering His design. Implant surgery can also be dangerous, and can never be reversed. Besides, why have something surgically implanted in your head if it's not a death sentence if you don't get it? Why have surgery unless it will save your life? Why spend money and go through pain unnecessarily? Would you have a kidney transplant if you didn't need it?

I always wonder why people care if someone is gay, deaf, blind, autistic, has down syndrome, etc. God made everyone the way they are so that they will make the largest impact on the world that they can. If God made your child deaf, don't force them to get an implant. You are changing God's design. I don't believe being gay is wrong. God never said not to be gay, He said not to act upon it, which I take strictly to mean no sodomy. If you are happy, I'm fine with it.
