May 24:
Obama meanwhile picked up endorsements of three more top party officials or superdelegates on Friday.

California Congressman Dennis Cardoza switched his allegiance from Clinton to Obama. The Illinois senator also won the endorsement of another California lawmaker, Jim Costa, and Oregon superdelegate Jenny Greenleaf.

According to the independent RealClearPolitics website, Obama now leads Clinton by 1,965 delegates to 1,779, and is just 61 delegates short of the winning post of 2,026 delegates.

@@@@@@@@
May 20: Total everything up and Obama is leading Clinton 1,915 to 1,721, a margin of 194. On the eve of the Kentucky and Oregon contests, Obama was 111 delegates short of clinching the nomination. Even if superdelegates continue to flock to Obama, it is unlikely Obama will close that gap today - the point the Clinton campaign is stressing. Obama scooped up five more superdelegates Monday, Clinton none. The most prominent was Sen. Robert C. Byrd of West Virginia, where Clinton scored an overwhelming victory a week ago. In a statement, Byrd called Clinton and Obama "extraordinary individuals," but added that Obama "is a shining young statesman who possesses the personal temperament and courage necessary to extricate our country from this costly misadventure in Iraq." Democratic pollster John Anzalone said Byrd also probably was delivering an assessment that the Democratic race was effectively over. "Robert Byrd can do math just like anyone else can," he said.

MAY 8: Obama picks up 9 NINE more super-delegates:

In New Jersey, Donald Payne — a black congressman who had been backing Clinton for the nomination — is switching his support to Obama, Dan Pfeiffer, a spokesman for the Obama campaign, confirmed.

Rep. Peter DeFazio of Oregon also plans to formally endorse Obama and campaign with him at events Friday in Eugene and Albany, Ore.

  • What I am trying to suggest is that since the shift is indeed Seismic, knowing the consequences that numerous politicians must face in order for us to declare once again a clean Democracy, it will require Obama's Administration to take rather swift and severe action rather quickly. Knowing this must be done to place America back on track to basic honesty and credibility first and foremost, I don't see any of them leaving willingly. I think the near future holds a few unfavorable situations.

  • CONT:

To ensure the seismic shift, the Congress MUST be changed: Republican seats must be captured and crumby Dem incumbents must be kicked out in the primary by new Democrats -

We need a general HOUSE CLEANING in Congress.

    IF NOT NOW, WHEN????

  • Nice video Ralpdraw3.

I am concerned however. When you look at how many political factions have been completely blind sided by Obama's Power, you get a sense of dread. I mean, there are a lot of things which have taken place which carry with them severe criminal penalties. As President, does Obama bring Justice and Consequences back to our Democracy, or just let it all go?

The danger in not addressing the issue is these people will plot another takeover at some point in the future.

  • Voting for a candidate is ALWAYS a gamble.

It is based on faith and trust about what they will do once they are elected.

I knew plenty about Hillary's history, her voting record in the Senate and her statements and knew THAT SHE WAS AWFUL. Clinton was the candidate of the Democratic Party insiders, the Republicanish/Lite Dems, the status quo, and the war.

  • It would seem your insight was correct a year or so ago when you posted this. Now soon all will see that all they have done is been memorized into voting for the most evil of two evils. They, the minority's and the young people are easily duped because of their lack of experience and involvement. The poor will be elevated just a bit at 100% the cost of the mid class. Further class separation to weaken all but the wealthy. But its going to backfire.

  • obama 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • AMEN 2008 obama

  • AMEN

  • The American news-media is awful - they don't report basic facts, they don't report in detail, they don't do any analysis etc..

They didn't report on Hillary's very poor voting record in the Senate.

All they report is "A WOMAN IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT, A WOMAN IS RUNNING FOR PRESIDENT".

The American people, in general, know very little about politics and their own government. It is frightening how little most Americans know about history, the U.S. constitution and the world in general.

  • Do you have any idea how incredible tedious the rest of the world finds this prolonged and drawn out process to choose the runner up in your presidential election ?

    lol

  • Hillary is supposed strength and experience, and Obama is change and hope. I choose the latter.

  • perhaps this 'losing ground' needs to take place, in order to awaken.

  • Congress will revolt

    State Governors will revolt

    The internet will revolt

More political activist groups will spring up.

We may even see a "credible" third party - we don't have one at the moment.

The American people might actually wise up - most Americans are losing ground, getting poorer, less secure.

  • "Seismic"?? What if the same people who have been controlling the Clintons, control Obama as well?!
