Despite 'only' gaining a pound the week of Thanksgiving, I wasn't able to get rid of it over the weekend... So now it's time to kick some butt before Christmas! Let's see if I can give myself a 20-lb Christmas gift!
It's not easy to refrain from all of the deliciousness of thanksgiving. Why must sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie taste so good?! Anyways, you seem to be back on track now, so carry on, and try to take it one day at a time:-)
I think it's important to find that balance between letting yourself make excuses and just rolling with the punches and moving on/not beating yourself up for the results of one week. And I think you've struck that balance. You know that things could have been better, but all in all, it probably turned out better than past Thanksgiving experiences, right? Moving on is important! After all, what will berating yourself do for your progress? It won't undo any 'damage', right? Good mindset! Bring it!
I think you had a god result, you even got up and went to the gym the next day. Now go kick ass this week, show me the goods :P

So proud of you. Now keep on trucking with the gym and good eating and you'll see the scale go down this week.
