Reasons this is better than Don Henley's version. It's in a gentler more somber key, the lack of loud instruments really gives you a deeper appreciation for Henley's writing, and this song deserves that. Not to say that Ben Lee is any better, I think many people could have done it in this key and unplugged. it certainly gives Henley's lyrics and intent more meaning.

Ben took a song that's sung wonderfully in the proper key and lowered it so that he didn't have to put any effort in really.
it's ok but doesn't compare in anyway to the original.

mate he is singing this wong much lower than henley yeah the guitar is up so he can sing it an octave down in G.... listen to henleys version its much higher.... not that im saying this is bad.... but lads come on i wouldnt think he is underated hes ok but nothing amazing about him.... only thing good about this is the choice of song.... thats my opinion anyway

Ben Lee is a person who has kinder things to say than you do, that's for sure.
Lara happens to be a beauty, inside and out. I'm sure you could do a much better job doing harmonies at the very last second, right?
