I caught this monster fireball just east of Adelaide, Sth. Australia. It is very high in the stratasphere, appears to move slow but must have alot of mass...somebody in Adelaide photographed similar or same fireball 4 days later...something huge IN ORBIT!??...or was our solar system passing through a
field of asteroids/meteors?...a few weeks later a similar fireball was seen by many then a sonic boom was felt or heard ...hundreds of people (in Victor Harbour south of Adelaide) witnessed a flash/boom and a fireball 'dissappear over or into the sea...a few weeks later a massive asteriod passed between the earth and the moon...no-one saw that one coming, not even NASA, until it passed...with todays technology it's hard to believe no-one new our planet had a very close call unless the protocol on such events is silence rather than mass panic

  • Wow! I never knew that meteors travelled so slowly. This video reminds me of another one taken of a meteor that overshot a city in the US and eventually struck the back of a woman's car in New York State. Just Google '1992 meteorite New York'

  • @plusplusplusplusp ...thanks for comment...I think the reason for this meteor travelling so slow is that it has a very large mass and is very high...if this giant had struck Adelaide I wouldn't be writing this right now, cheers!

  • I saw this in 2002 when im sitting in my tution class,i called everyone but noone came to see it, i really saw it but not like this, i saw a giant fireball (no tail like this) flying in the sky to the north direction, may it is the same that i had seen

  • Hey- not that there's going to be a next time (this is pretty much a once in a lifetime thing and I'm pretty jealous you got to see it in real life) but if you see something amazing like this again; sit on the ground (feet about a foot [pun very intended] in front of you) and rest your elbows on your knees and bang- you're your own tripod.

    : )

  • quando foi isso??? porque eu n vejo noticias sobre esse incidente????
