The Aus Greens leader's dream is to drain some man-made hydroelectric lake in Tasmania. Some professor dude said that would kill thousands of platypi. Poor guy the Greens went after him like a witch-hunt.

I'm sure they're easy to find, in their native Australian habitat. But you have to watch thos little legs! You have to make sure they don't jump at ya or run into ya cuz those tiny legs have VERY poisonous spurs on them (on the males only). They're cute, but best to admire them from a distance. :-)
