@annie19645 the language of kashmir orginates frm the brahmic bunch like that of gandhara and other central asian languages (even pashto). You should also know that all south indian languages, indonesian languages also orginate frm the same brahmic group.

Most of the northern languages have affluence with turki,persian languages because of invasions, thts all.

History is not only post islamic but pre islamic also.

as a kashmiri my self, i can say kashmir doesn't belong to either india or pakistan. If you look at the kashmiri culture and language, our culture and languages are much more central asian then south asian, Kashmiri is a dardic language which is of iranian group not south asian.
