The Fray Album Preview, "You Found Me" a big hit

Hey everyone! Youre watching Clevver TV. Im Dana Ward with all the deets on the newest album from The Fray.

If you liked the 2005 smash hit How to Save a Life from the bands first album, then youre going to love its sophomore album. Most of the 10-tracks on The Frays self-titled LP include authentic, emotion-packed meaning with a smooth, piano-and-guitar-based melody. The catchy, lead single, You Found Me has already been on the Billboard Top 10 Singles Chart for 12-straight weeks and even hit number-1 on some international charts. The 2-time Grammy-nominated The Fray reportedly got this early released track on board during a tv promo for the hit show Lost, as You Found Me fits with the shows theme of redemption and confusion.

Some album influences for The Frays latest, ranged significantly, reportedly from Smashing Pumpkins and Nine Inch Nails to classical music.

Watch out for the track called, Where the Story Ends, as it will likely dominate over the rest of the album. We can all relate to the songs vivid description of a relationships end so bittersweet and listeners can follow along closely with the fluid and graceful sounds throughout. Also original and somewhat spiritual is Happiness, Absolute and Say When. Regardless of the song, you will likely find that each one mixes a big-time chorus with raw lyrics. In fact, its being said that the lyrics are quite introspective and well-thoughtout.

The Fray hails from Colorado and the band has been all over the place, performing their newest songs from the self-titled album. Some show performances include the AMAs, Jimmy Kimmel Live and Good Morning America. The latest LP dropped into stores in early February.

  • @novisplit I personally think that they're a little different than coldplay. It has a different feel

  • i remember when this shit was called coldplay.

  • @hnyoung i would take Wikipedia's word for it. Remember, people can edit it, and people do it!

  • PS -- there is also no way The Fray gets a Grammy nomination for Best Pop Album based on this song alone without heavy tobacco backing, IMHO, but what do I know?

  • From Wikipedia:

The Fray debuted the single "You Found Me" on November 20, during a commercial break of the show Grey's Anatomy. It was a one-minute promo with scenes from the upcoming season of ABC's Lost...

So I like this song, but there is no way it would have done as well as it has unless there is a mention of a guy smoking a cigarette in the first lines -- and the tobacco industry isn't paying out millions to TV producers to promote this cigarette commercial during prime time TV.
