This is a short video review and explanation of the Big Game No. 4 event in the PS3 adventure game Hakuna Matata or "Afrika" coming to the US PS3 on Oct. 6th 2009. (Note: The ship date has been pushed back to 10/13 according to Gamestop) This is a really cool game where you get to drive around the African wilderness and take photos of animals. If you'd like to know more about this game please visit my site http://www.playongo.com/ where I have an in-depth review and screen shots of this unique and enjoyable PS3 game.

  • am buying it...it looks like a fun game

  • @stluke324 I'm glad to hear you are picking it up. It's a fun game. I hope you enjoy it!

  • I dont get this game..? All you basically can do is to walk/drive your car and take photos/snapshots on different animals?

  • @SJPatrik Basically if you think what wildlife photographers do is exciting at all, this is a simulation of that. You get commissions like "We need a photo of a baby elephant with it's mother" and you need to go find the elephants and approach/wait for the perfect moment. You get camera equipment upgrades as you go, etc... It's fun trying to see how good a picture you can get and what kind of animals you'll see/photograph. That's pretty much the appeal.

  • For the record, photographing giant dinosaurs sounds freakin' awesome.

There is no voice acting aside from the animals themselves. The areas feel like a square mile or so, maybe a little more and there are 5 I think. As for games on PC they seem to be more sim city style like "Wildlife Park" and "Wildlife Zoo" but could be cool if you like the animals. One that focuses photography is "Snapshot Adventures: Secret of Bird Island" but it looks pretty bad. Thanks for the questions and good vibes.

  • the game looks awsome, but come on is it realy a fun??? You just drive a jep, take some photos and sell them somewhere? That sounds boring...

  • If it sounds boring to you then it may indeed be so. I'd say if you've happened to play Dead Rising, Pokemon Snap, (Fatal Frame etc..) and enjoyed the photography aspect you may want to reconsider taking another look at the game. In the end, it's not for everybody but most gamers I know personally have liked it quite a bit. :)

  • you should try to kill the animals

  • @7Brandy5McMillen7 You aren't allowed to like ANY Big cat if you hate Leopards. How can you hate Leopards? HOW DARE YOU SAY YOU LIKE LIONS.

In all honestly, Lions are the least cool out of all 9 Species. SHAME ON YOU.

  • i want to kill the lepord

  • looks like fun i like ipredator

i hate lepords tho i like lions

  • looks like fun i like ipredator

  • @legiunia84 These games are fun but only to a handful of people like wildlife photographers, or biologists. If people are more interested in the ocean life they'll go for a game like Endless Ocean (Wii) It's basically the same thing as Afrika, but still appeals only a small amount of people. I just think that the seriousness of these games would be boring to a lot of people.
